Peripheral Vascular Intervention

Peripheral Vascular Intervention (PVI) Quality Improvement Initiative is a prospective, multi-center, multidisciplinary registry that represents a regional collaborative effort to assess and improve quality of care and outcomes of patients with peripheral vascular disease who undergo percutaneous peripheral arterial intervention.

The Ann Arbor location of the University of Michigan serves as the coordinating site of PVI project.

The coordinating center receives procedural and long-term follow-up data from the participating sites in an electronic fashion, it is further validated for errors and missing data, and quarterly reports are generated for participating sites. The coordinating center also makes site visits for auditing data forms for accuracy and organizes working group meetings to exchange information with the participating institutions on a regular basis.
