A good website architecture can simplify the development process and prevent feature creep.
What do I mean by "website architecture"?
In the same way that a traditional architect will create a blueprint that contains all the information about a building, as a website architect I will create a blueprint of your website.
The full architectural design of your website will contain as much technical and functional information as necessary for making it a reality. This includes taking into account your requirements and transforming them into a clear blueprint.
This process allows you, as the owner of the website, to understand what is involved in creating your website, and will make sure that you have as much input as possible before the website is even started. One of the major benefits of a well laid-out architectural plan is avoiding feature creep.

What is "feature creep"?
One of the major sources of headaches in the web development process is that of feature creep. Simply defined, it's when the list of things to add to a website go beyond what was originally planned. This will delay the development process for all, will make it go over-budget for some, and undoubtedly will cause tension in the communication between the different parties involved.
Feature creep is a sign of a poorly architectured website.
